Minor in Communication

Our Program

The Communication Minor is an excellent choice for students wishing to improve their communication skills and deepen their understanding of the nature, processes, and effects of messages. The minor is an excellent companion to almost any major, including New Media, Art, & Technology, Education, Business, and many others.

Required Courses (6 credit hours)

  • SPCH-C 321 Persuasion
  • SPCH-C 480 Communication Theory

Electives (9 credit hours)

In addition to the required courses, students may select any 9 credits from the following course options (at least 6 of these 9 credits must be at or above the 300-level).
