Foundation Scholarships
IU Kokomo has long awarded scholarships to both incoming and continuing students in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership and community service. 

Freshman Scholarships

Herbert Scholarship
Awarded to one incoming freshman who demonstrates outstanding academic excellence with SAT score of 1300 and is in the top 10% of their graduating class.  The scholarship is renewable for 3 additional years, as long as recipients maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA while seeking their degree at IU Kokomo.
Sarah Blossey Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman who demonstrates potential to succeed in his/her educational objective, who have 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale or higher, and has financial need.
Josephine Bryon Scholarship
Awarded to a degree seeking incoming freshman or continuing student in good academic standing.
Bob Williams Memorial Scholarship
Enrolled full time in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, English Literature and/or performing arts concentration, minimum GPA of 2.5, renewable.
Bucheri, McCarty and Metz Scholarship
Awarded to a Howard County resident studying business at IU Kokomo with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Please see the School of Business page to apply.
Button and Gingerich Families Scholarships
Enrolled full time, minimum GPA of 2.5, financial need.
Brown Family Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman who graduated from a Howard County High School who is enrolled full time, have a minimum of 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale and have financial need.
Bryan Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman with 1100 SAT, top 10% graduating class, must demonstrate high scholastic ability, leadership and promise of future usefulness.
Cole Family Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman residing in Cass County, 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale and has financial need.
Community First Bank Women's Basketball Scholarship
For members of the Indiana University Kokomo Women’s Basketball Team; total dollar amount of the Scholarship(s) for any one recipient will not exceed the student's cost of attendance or the amount permitted by the NAIA.
Cora and Franklin Breckenridge Scholarship
Awarded to incoming or continuing student enrolled at IU Kokomo with either full or part time enrollment with minimum 2.3 GPA.
Cabot Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman seeking any 2 year or 4 year degree with 2.5 GPA or higher and need is a consideration.
Della Evans Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman or continuing IU Kokomo student with SAT 1300/ACT 30, top 10% graduating class, who contributes to community, school or work experience.
DeShaney Scholarship
Eastern High School students ONLY; merit-based, attending full time.
Destination: Education IUK Scholarship
Howard County residents ONLY; financial need, exhibit ability to compete in university classes, possibly have family barriers that would prevent students from having opportunity.
Dr. Linda Wallace and Lt. Col. David Wallace, USAF (Ret.) Nursing Scholarship
Nursing students admitted to the pre-licensure BSN nursing program, minimum GPA of 3.0, involved in a service organization in community or on campus, renewable.
Ernest Johnson Memorial Scholarship
Eastern High School students ONLY; students who will attend IUK, financial need, demonstrate ability to do college-level work, not limited to “straight A” students.
Fred Sabatini Memorial Scholarship
Legal resident of Cass County, enrolled in minimum of 9 hours per semester, financial need, 2.5 minimum GPA.
Gail and Beatrice Weedman Scholarship
Undergraduate students in financial need.
GLBTAA Academic Scholarship

The GLBTAA academic scholarships are awarded to students, on any IU campus, based upon their academics, career goals, financial need, leadership, community service, and extracurricular activities, with consideration for involvement in activities raising awareness of GLBT issues. These scholarships help cultivate a new generation of leaders who are academically strong, as well as active in promoting diversity and understanding.

IU Kokomo Alumni Association Scholarship
  • Available to incoming freshmen and continuing students
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Applicants must demonstrate via GPA, short essay and volunteer/school activities how they would benefit from the scholarship
  • Letter of reference
  • All materials must be postmarked or hand-delivered by April 30, 2016
  • Applications available in Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid
  • Four $750 scholarships will be awarded
IU Kokomo Cabinet Scholarship
Minimum GPA of 2.8, first generation college student, renewable.
IU Kokomo Athletic Scholarship
Total scholarship awards will not exceed, for any one recipient, the amount permitted by the NAIA for a "full" scholarship. Total scholarship awards will not exceed students' cost of attendance.
IUK Honors Program Scholarship
Enrolled full time, top 20% of graduating class, minimum SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 24.
IUK Staff Scholarship
Enrolled part-time, good academic standing, financial need.
Kari Dee Plummer DeMoss Scholarship
Recent high school graduate enrolling in the nursing programz
Margaret and Melvin Hobbs Scholarship
Financial need, minimum 3.2 GPA, renewable.
Marilyn Kintzele Accounting Scholarship
Student intending to major in accounting, enrolled full time, minimum high school GPA of 3.5, rank in top 25% of graduating class, renewable.
Patricia A. Pencek Endowed Scholarship
Junior or senior student majoring in business, minimum GPA of 3.0, resident of Howard, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Grant, Miami, Tipton, or Wabash counties. Please see School of Business page to apply.
Robert and Frances Freed Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman from Howard County High School, preference given to business major with minimum 3.15 GPA on 4.0 scale.
Ken and Shirley Herrick Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman who commits to 4 year degree, attend full time, have 1100 SAT, top 10% graduating class. Renewable if maintains 3.3 GPA while at IU Kokomo.
William and Susannah B Hough Scholarship
Howard county residents only, to be determined by the Community Foundation Committee of Howard County.
Virgil and Elizabeth Hunt Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman seeking science degree with 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale.
Key Bank Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman from Howard County or Cass County, attending full time, seeking business degree, with 1000 SAT, top 20% graduating class.
Latino Alumni Association Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate and graduate students attending any IU campus.  For more information about deadlines and contact person, please click here.
Jane Wilden Manly Scholarship Fund
Awarded to Indiana resident, prefer non-traditional female with 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale, attending full-time, with financial need.
Marilyn S. Skinner Women's Basketball Scholarship
For members of the Indiana University Kokomo Women’s Basketball Team, enrolled full-time, minimum 2.5 GPA, financial need.
McHale Scholarship Fund
Awarded to incoming freshman who is a Cass County high school graduate with a 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale.
Miami County Scholarship

Graduate of Miami County High School, continues to reside in Miami County while attending IU Kokomo with a minimum 2.0 GPA, financial need required.

Mr. and Mrs. Norris G. Brown and Family Scholarship
Minimum GPA 3.0, graduate of a Howard County high school, enrolled full time, financial need, renewable.
Jeffrey and Lisa Smeltzer Scholarship
Awarded to a first generation college student from Howard County resident.
Mildred Stanley Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman with 1000 SAT and top 20% of their graduating class who demonstrate financial need. Student must maintain 3.0 IUK GPA for renewal and be enrolled full-time. 
June Stout Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to incoming IU Kokomo freshman who demonstrate academic excellence.
Raymond F. and Mary S. Bonhomme Scholarship
Students in good academic standing, enrolled full time, and have demonstrated financial need; renewable if student meets criteria.
Shearer Business Products Scholarship
For undergraduate students who have been accepted at IUK, preference for a student who has financial need and maintains a 3.0 GPA. The scholarship can be awarded to the same individual for up to four years, provided the recipient continues to meet the minimum requirements.
Solidarity Community FCU Scholarship
Incoming freshman, enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours each semester, graduated from high school with a 3.0 GPA, has financial need.
Steel Parts Corporation Scholarship
Resident of Howard, Tipton, Hamilton, Madison, Clinton or Grant counties, enrolled in a minimum of 9 hours per semester, interest in the field of study relating to business, engineering, technical, or sciences, 3.0 GPA, financial need.
Sycamore Recreation Association Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshman who demonstrate academic excellence with 1080 SAT score and rank in top 20% of graduating class and attends IU Kokomo full time.  Student must maintain 3.0 GPA to renew 3 additional years and complete 30 credit hours per academic year. 
Virginia Serverns Memorial Scholarship
Enrolled full time, minimum GPA of 2.8.
Wabash County Scholarship
Students from Wabash County
Your Chance Scholarship
Student must have a GPA of a 2.5-3.7, enrolled half or full time, renewable, maintains minimum 2.5 GPA
Thompson Minority Scholarship
Graduated in the top 20% of high school class, renewable for up to four years based on a cumulative GPA of 2.75, preference given to AfricanAmerican, Hispanic, Asian-American, and American Indian students, no recipient can receive more than four awards. Recipients determined by IUK Scholarship Committee.

For students who have been admitted to the Teacher Education Program entering their student teaching semester, minimum cumulative GPA 3.0, financial need, residents of Howard County
Amal and Betty Das Scholarship
Open to students majoring in a medical-related field, maintains minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, renewable
Barnes Family Scholarship
Enrolled full time, successfully completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at IUK, financial need, minimum GPA of 2.5, renewable
Beauchamp Scholarship
For students demonstrating academic ability and financial need

Junior or senior students with a minimum of 56 completed credit hours, History/Political Science major or secondary education majors with a social studies concentration, minimum GPA of 3.3
Business and Economics Accounting Scholarship

Cathy Archer Memorial Scholarship
Non-traditional students, sophomore, junior, or senior status, enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours, financial need, minimum GPA of 2.7
Chancellor and Mrs. Victor M. Bogle Scholarship
Junior or Senior student enrolled in the Department of Social and Behavioral Science pursuing the disciplines of history and/or political science, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, renewable

Earl W. Turner Scholarship
IU Kokomo enrolled student with a GPA of 3.0 on a 4 point scale. Preference shall be given to a woman, who has been out of high school for several years and is returning to prepare herself for employment. 
Virgil Hunt Fellowship
First preference is for graduate students.  Second preference can be students enrolled in the IU Kokomo School of Education and/or teaching certificate programs.
