Altrusa International, Inc. of Kokomo Pat DiSalvo Scholarship
  • Non-traditional student
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and taking minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Must reside in Howard County
  • Maintain 2.5 GPA each semester
  • $1000 scholarship for two consecutive years
  • Applicants must complete application and submit with a character reference (written by a non-relative), in addition to a one page (or less) essay on why you want to pursue your chosen studies and if you have been enrolled previously, a transcript of grades earned (2.5 GPA or higher to be eligible)
  • Application must be completed and mailed no later than June 15, 2016 and mailed to:

Bay Alarm Medical Scholarship

At Bay Alarm Medical Scholarship we're committed to helping seniors stay happy and healthy longer so they can continue to live independently. We also believe seniors play a vital role in our communities — especially through sharing their stories and life lessons. Our 2016 scholarship aims to highlight these life lessons and how seniors inspire us in our everyday lives. 

Three winners will be chosen:
1st place: $2,000
2nd place: $1,000
3rd place: $500

Become An Educator Scholarship

Committee chooses (2) deserving candidates that meet the following criteria:

  • Funds awarded must be used for current education.
  • Candidates must be applying to or currently attending a teaching educational program.
  • Candidates must be willing to share their stories on ToBecomeATeacher.org on how they used the scholarship to enhance their career path potential.

The Becoming an Educator $1,000 Scholarships are awarded on the 15th of January every year, however all applications must be submitted and received by November 1st.

Faye Riddleberger Scholarship
  • Applicants must be residents of Cass County
  • Applicants must be attending Indiana University Kokomo full time

Qualifications:

  • Must be an Indiana resident
  • Must be committed to pursuing an education and career in a law enforcement field

Indiana Women's Education Foundation Scholarships
Six scholarships available to women with financial need.  Further information and scholarship applications can be found here.
IU Kokomo Alumni Association Scholarship
  • Available to incoming freshmen and continuing students
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Applicants must demonstrate via GPA, short essay and volunteer/school activities how they would benefit from the scholarship
  • Letter of reference
  • All materials must be postmarked or hand-delivered by April 30, 2016

  • Four $750 scholarships will be awarded

Waterlogic's Clean Water Scholarship
Waterlogic is awarding a $1,500 scholarship to the student in or entering college who submits the best essay. We are now accepting entries and the winner will be chosen at the close of the contest in May 2016. All submissions must be received by Waterlogic by April 30, 2016 to be eligible for entry.
Webucator Scholarships for Computer Science Students

Webucator's Scholarships aim to support students who are studying Computer Science. Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students who show the greatest potential for leadership in the field of computer science.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually.

Scholarship Criteria

  1. Student is enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college or university in the United States.
  2. Student has completed at least one computer science class* with a grade of at least 3.4 out of 4.0 or the equivalent.
  3. Student has concrete plans to take at least one computer science class in the upcoming school year.
  4. Student has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent.
  5. Student agrees that Webucator may announce his/her name and college on its website and social media.

* If it is unclear by the title of the class, students must explain how the class relates to computer science.
