Bay Alarm Medical Scholarship

At Bay Alarm Medical Scholarship we're committed to helping seniors stay happy and healthy longer so they can continue to live independently. We also believe seniors play a vital role in our communities — especially through sharing their stories and life lessons. Our 2016 scholarship aims to highlight these life lessons and how seniors inspire us in our everyday lives. 

Three winners will be chosen:
1st place: $2,500
2nd place: $2,000
3rd place: $1,000

Become An Educator Scholarship

Committee chooses (2) deserving candidates that meet the following criteria:

  • Funds awarded must be used for current education.
  • Candidates must be applying to or currently attending a teaching educational program.
  • Candidates must be willing to share their stories on ToBecomeATeacher.org on how they used the scholarship to enhance their career path potential.

The Becoming an Educator $1,000 Scholarships are awarded on the 15th of January every year, however all applications must be submitted and received by November 1st.

Crown & Caliber Entrepreneur’s Scholarship

Crown & Caliber Entrepreneur’s Scholarship 

Crown and Caliber is an advocate of the entrepreneurial spirit and because of this passion we’re offering one student a $1,000 scholarship based on their entrepreneurial abilities!

Dukes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
  • Must be a resident of Miami County
  • Must be accepted by an accredited school
  • Must be pursuing an education in a Health Care Field

You may pick up an application in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid or the Human Resources Office at Dukes Memorial Hospital.

The application deadline is April 1, 2017.

Dukes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship
  • Must be a resident of Miami County
  • Must be accepted by an accredited school
  • Must be working toward an RN degree
  • Applicants for the Nursing scholarship must appear before the committee for a personal interview

Applications will be available in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid as well as the Human Resources Office at Dukes Memorial Hospital.

The application deadline is April 1, 2017.

The Dunham House Educational Foundation

The Dunham House Educational Foundation is pleased to announce for 2017 the $1000 Senatorial and $2500 Presidential Scholarship available to all Indiana high school seniors and post high school sudents.

The Dunham House Educational Foundation provides funding to candidates with a career goal in any aread of History who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals and to aid in building that bridge for those in pursuit of attending the educational instituition of their dream.

Elkhart County Retired Teachers Association

The Elkhart County Retired Teachers Association is offering a $1000 scholarship to an education major. This scholarship is based on GPA and financial need. To be eligible you must be a resident of Elkhart County and have successfully completed the sophomore or junior year in college.

You may pick up an application in the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid. The application must be postmarked by May 1, 2017.

Faye Riddleberger Scholarship
  • Applicants must be residents of Cass County
  • Applicants must be attending Indiana University Kokomo full time
  • The scholarship is for one year in length, and it can be received only once
  • The scholarship is based on academics, financial need, extra-curricular activities and church activities.
  • $1000 for one year only
  • Deadline: March 15, 2017

Frame My Future 2017 Contest- Presented by Church Hill Classics
  • You must fill out the online entry form located here and upload an original entry piece that is your own work.
  • The entry deadline is March 1, 2017. Only one entry per contestant.
  • Be thoughtful in your accompanying description, but don't exceed 500 characters.
  • All submissions are final, no changes can be made to your entry after submission.
  • Your entry piece MUST be in JPG/JPEG format or PNG file format. Any other format will not be accepted. Maximum file size allowed is 2MB.
Graphic Design Scholarship

Multiple $1,000 or $2,000 scholarships to qualified undergraduate and graduate students.  Deadline: March 17, 2017

  • Enrolled as a full-time student at an Indiana college or university (must have sophomore status or higher)
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an evironmental-related field
  • Possess a 2.9 GPA or higher
  • Plan to reside/work in Indiana following college graduation

  • Resident of Indiana
  • Must be committed to pursuing an education and career in a law enforecement field at an Indiana college or university
  • Must be a current member of the association OR a dependent child OR grandchild of a current member of the association
  • Enrolled as a full-time student

Indiana Wildlife Federation

The Indiana Wildlife Federation is offering the Charles Holt Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

  • Resident of Indiana
  • Accepted to or already enrolled in Fall 2017 semester
  • Full time undergraduate -sophomore or above at an accredited college or university
  • Must be taking coursework to major or minor in a field related to natural resourse conservation or environmental education

Maude Kelley Scholarship

Community Howard Regional Health Foundation

The purpose of this scholarship fund is to establish an ongoing source of financial encouragement and motivation to students pursuing degrees and certificates in health care professions. Application forms are available at the Howard Community Foundation office, in the IU Kokomo Financial Aid office, and online here.

Oz Moving & Storage Scholarship

Oz Moving & Storage Scholarship will award one (1) talented student a $1,000 scholarship this year. We will choose a winner based on a creative multi-media piece or well-written essay entry that relates back to the subject of moving. You only need to pick one! Deadline: 6/15/2017.

Rocky Mountain Mattress's offering an annual $1,000 scholarship Complete the Mark A Forester essay contest.

Siegfried & Jensen

Valued at $1,000, the Bud Siegfried Scholarship is intended to help students pursuing a professional degree cover the costs of tuition. It is meant to enable them more time to study, rather than work, so that they can achieve their degree in a more timely manner.

To be considered for this scholarship you must:

  • Currently be enrolled in a college / university in the USA
  • Write a 500 – 700 word essay about how an injury attorney can make a difference in any of the following situations:
    • Automobile Accidents
    • Medical Malpractice
    • Product Liability
  • Write a 300 – 400 word essay about an act of service you have performed in the last 3 weeks that has made a difference in your life.
    • You must not have received any payment (money, food, or otherwise) for this act of service
    • If you don’t have an example from the last 3 weeks you can get in touch with your university service organization and perform a 1-2 hour service project to report on

Waterlogic's Clean Water Scholarship
Waterlogic is awarding a $1,500 scholarship to the student in or entering college who submits the best essay. We are now accepting entries and the winner will be chosen at the close of the contest in May 2017. All submissions must be received by Waterlogic by April 30, 2017 to be eligible for entry.
Webucator Scholarships for Computer Science Students

Webucator's Scholarships aim to support students who are studying Computer Science. Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students who show the greatest potential for leadership in the field of computer science.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually.

Scholarship Criteria

  1. Student is enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college or university in the United States.
  2. Student has completed at least one computer science class* with a grade of at least 3.4 out of 4.0 or the equivalent.
  3. Student has concrete plans to take at least one computer science class in the upcoming school year.
  4. Student has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent.
  5. Student agrees that Webucator may announce his/her name and college on its website and social media.

* If it is unclear by the title of the class, students must explain how the class relates to computer science.
