I joined the IU Kokomo Nursing & Allied Health Advising Center in 2009. Prior to coming to IUK I worked at Indiana Wesleyan University. Currently I am the co-coordinator for Orientation and Convocation at IUK and the Central Indiana Regional Representative for the Indiana Academic Advising Network (IAAN).
During my time at IUK I have co-taught an Introduction to Leadership class and presented at the 2011 IAAN Conference on: If I Only Had a Brain, Helping Millennial Students Succeed in College. I also serve on several campus committees and work with the Nursing Freshman Learning Communities.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education (SAAHE) from Ball State University (2008) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Ball State University (2005).
One goal I have for my students is to see as many of them as possible participate in a study abroad program.
Outside of work I enjoy playing softball, Polaroids, Apple computers, collecting Pez dispensers and traveling. My travels have taken me to 27 states, Canada, The Bahamas, Germany, Belgium, France, and England.
