To replace your card, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for replacement cards and must be paid when you receive your new card. The replacement fee will not be charged for an official name change.
What is EZ Deposit?
EZ Deposit is a convenient way to make a deposit to your Cougar Card account before the start of a semester so you will have funds readily available to purchase the textbooks, course materials and other items you may need for the semester. Your EZ Deposit will then be billed to your Bursar account where it will be paid with financial aid, scholarships, grants, 529 funds or any other method of payment accepted by the Bursar Office.
How much can I deposit on my Cougar Card using the EZ Deposit option?
You can deposit $250.00 or $500.00 to your Cougar Card using the EZ Deposit option. You may only select one amount.
How can I take advantage of the EZ Deposit option?
The EZ Deposit option is available in the "Optional Fees" section when you are registering for classes. Select the amount you would like to deposit to your Cougar Card, $250.00 or $500.00. The selected amount will bebilled to your Bursar account and placed on your Cougar Card approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester. You will receive an email when these funds have been added to your Cougar Card.
The EZ Deposit option will also be available Nov. 21-Jan. 2, 2014 from the Cougar Card website. Click the "About the Cougar Card" tab in the menu and select "Make a Deposit". Locate the EZ Deposit option and follow the steps accordingly. The selected amount will be billed to your Bursar account and placed on your Cougar Card approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester. You will receive an email when these funds have been added to your Cougar Card.
If you have Financial Aid that covers all your fees including your EZDeposit amount, that unused amount will remain on your Cougar Card and can be used at Barnes & Noble or Rozzis during the term.
If you have Financial Aid that pays only a portion of your fees, the balance on your Cougar Card will be removed and only the amount used will be reflected on your student account. Adjustments will be made approximately 6 weeks after classes begin. The student is responsible to know how much money is on their account before purchases are made.
Please note, you can only take advantage of the EZ Deposit utilizing one of the above options. You cannot sign up for the EZ Deposit during the registration process AND on the website
Are there any requirements to using the EZ Deposit?Yes, there are three requirements:
- The first requirement is that you must be a registered student for the upcoming semester. Please note if you are selecting the EZ Deposit option while you are registering for classes you are considered a registered student.
- If you are planning on using Financial Aid to pay for your EZ Deposit you will need to sign a Title IV form. This form allows for your financial aid to cover the cost of the EZ Deposit. Completing a Title IV form only needs to be done once during your duration at IU Kokomo. For more information on Financial Aid or the Title IV contact the Financial Aid office.
- The third requirement is that you pay the EZ Deposit amount on your Bursar account within 45 days from the start of classes. If you do not pay your EZ Deposit amount on your bursar account during the given time frame, the EZ Deposit funds will be removed from your Cougar Card account and any EZ Deposit funds that have been used must be paid back through the Bursar Office. Student's accounts that still have pending Financial aid or personal deferments will not be affected.
Is there anything I should tell the cashier when using the EZ Deposit money?
No, simply hand the cashier your Cougar Card and the payment for your purchase will be processed automatically using the EZ Deposit funds.
Does this mean I can bill my textbooks to my Bursar account?
No, but it does mean you can make a substantial deposit to your Cougar Card and allow your aid to pick up the balance when it applies to your Bursar account. You will then be able to use your Cougar Card and EZ Deposit funds to purchase the textbooks and course materials for the semester.
What if I use the EZ Deposit option and decide later I don't want it. Can I get a refund?
Absolutely! If you have paid the EZ Deposit amount on your Bursar account a refund can be processed for any unused EZ Deposit balance. Send an email from your University email account with your name, University ID# and mailing address to email@example.com. The University will refund the balance of your EZ Deposit in the form of a check, less a $15.00 service charge. Refunds usually require 10-14 days for processing.
