Screening of "The Other Side of Immigration"

Join us for the screening of the documentary “The Other Side of Immigration” to get a glimpse into the stories of immigrants and the families they left behind. As immigration is a hot topic in today’s society, come and hear from all sides of the story with a discussion held after the screening. The documentary is 55 minutes long and open to all.

Odd Rod, Motivational Poet

Odd Rod is a young man with an inspirational story of overcoming the adversities of growing up in poverty with a drug-addicted mother and an absent father. He speaks on how he earned a full scholarship to college in spite of his surroundings and unknowingly took on a leadership role in his community. He shares his story in hopes to inspire and motivate you to find your inner leader, and step up to the plate in an exciting and engaging performance!

Leadership Retreat

Overnight, Camp Tecumseh

Discover your capacity to be an effective leader through this two-day retreat.  Surrounded by woods and a nearby lake, Camp Tecumseh is a wonderful treat. You will participate in leadership & team building activities; spend time outdoors on the zipline, archery range and climbing wall; all while getting to know your fellow students.  The retreat is limited to 22 students and participants will need to complete an application.  Make sure you don’t miss out on one of the best events of the year!

Nearly Naked Mile

IU Kokomo students will have the opportunity to give those in need the clothes off their backs – figuratively speaking - during the fourth annual Nearly Naked Mile. The Nearly Naked Mile is a noncompetitive event in which students run or walk a 1-mile course through campus in bathing suits or costumes.  Entry fee is the donation of two new items of winter clothing or $10.  All donations will benefit the Kokomo Urban Outreach.  Come join in the fun!
