Greetings and welcome to the School of Business at IU Kokomo. We are very glad you have taken the time to learn more about us.
Through the School of Business, students can earn both a Bachelor of Science in Business (B.S.B.) and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.). In the B.S.B. program students can choose from concentrations in accounting, finance/economics, management, or marketing. In the M.B.A. program students can decide whether they would like their degree to include a concentration in either finance or human resource management.
The faculty within the School of Business is second to none. Our faculty members have won numerous IU Kokomo teaching awards as well as competitive awards given to only select individuals throughout the entire IU system. As a smaller campus, the faculty are able to get to know each of the students in their classes by name and are committed to helping students learn and succeed. In addition to their teaching excellence, the faculty are also very active researchers. They regularly present their papers at national and international conferences, publish in highly regarded peer reviewed journals and contribute to books. This research ensures the faculty are both current in their disciplines and regularly incorporating their research in their classrooms.
The School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. This is a designation held by less than 5% of all business programs worldwide and indicates the business programs and the faculty who teach within the programs are of the highest caliber. Accreditation by AACSB also means students within the business programs are eligible for induction into the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society. Membership within Beta Gamma Sigma is reserved for those students who represent the “Best in Business.”
I hope you will take the opportunity to not only explore our website but also visit our campus. We would love to have a chance to meet you, show you around, and tell you why we think the School of Business at IU Kokomo is the place to be.
