English Proficiency Documentation

If English is not your native language, you must demonstrate proficiency in English prior to admission to meet IU Kokomo's minimum standard for acceptance to both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Immigrant students currently residing in the Kokomo area may take the IU Kokomo Interim Placement Examination.

*Students who have graduated from an English Speaking University meet the English proficiency requirement.

*Please note that all test results must be sent to IU Kokomo directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Indiana University Kokomo does not accept hand-carried score reports. Students taking the TOEFL while in China, India, Japan, Korea or Taiwan may be eligible for the TOEFL Scholarship.
