Please note that CAPS staff will be directly available ONLY during posted office hours. For non-emergency inquiries, you are welcome to leave a message that will be returned as soon as possible. Information provided by students to CAPS is private and confidential. Visiting CAPS does not become part of a student’s academic record. Staff members will not share any information about counseling with other university departments, with family members, or with community professionals unless we have the student’s written consent to do so.

There are limitations to confidentiality. The state of Indiana requires reporting of abuse of a minor. Posing imminent threat to oneself, others, or the campus community is another case in which confidentiality may be broken.
