George Pinnell Award for Outstanding Service (multiple awards) This award is intended to recognize outstanding service by faculty members or librarians in the same way that other annual awards recognize distinguished teaching. Individuals on retirement / emeritus status out are not eligible. Each campus may submit up to five candidates for consideration. |

Sylvia Bowman taught for 34 years at IU and this award was established in 1994 to honor faculty members in disciplinary areas related to American civilization. Faculty at any tenure rank are eligible for the Bowman award |
