Probation and Dismissal
Dean's Honor List
The grade point average to be named to the Dean's Honor List will be 3.5 - 3.99 and there will be a separate list of students achieving a grade point average of 4.0. This is effective in the Fall of 1981.

Academic Probation and Dismissal
The following policies regarding academic probation and dismissal apply to all Indiana University Kokomo students. Dismissal from the University occurs when a student has ceased to make adequate progress toward his or her degree.

Any student who earns less than a 2.0 GPA for any semester's work will be placed on academic probation.

A student on academic probation shall be dismissed from the University if his/her semester GPA is below 2.0 and his/her cumulative GPA is below that required in the table.

Students will not be evaluated for possible dismissal until they have completed 12
credit hours. -
Summer sessions will count as one semester.

A student will be removed from academic probation when he/she has completed a
semester with a 2.0 semester GPA and has a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
