Digital Media Center: File Storage and Printing
File Storage
Video, audio, or other multimedia files are often large files, and as you edit, merge, and splice these files, they may get even larger. Saving work prepared using computers in the Digital Media Center is the user's responsibility. Before leaving the computer stations, users should save all of their project files to some form of digital media. If you are in need of media to store your files, the IU Kokomo Bookstore sells both CD-Rs and CD-RWs, as well as USB flash drives.
For users working on large projects or for extended periods of time on particular projects, the Digital Media Center recommends that you purchase a personal external hard drive.
Large Format Printing
The Digital Media Center offers printing services to a large format printer. Please reference our PDF help document for more details on printing files to the large format printer, as well as large format document printing costs.
The Digital Media Center cannot cut/trim or laminate documents printed by the large format printer. Printing large format files is expensive, but students may put additional money onto their student printing accounts by using the "Add Value Station" in the copy room or by contacting the Computer Services Helpdesk, located near the Ask A Librarian desk on the first floor of the Library.
