What is the Campus Campaign?

This is your chance as faculty and staff of Indiana University Kokomo and the Purdue School of Technology to "Make Your Move!" The purpose of the 2012 Campus Campaign is to allow faculty and staff to choose any campus initiative they would like to support. We suggest the IU Kokomo Fund, which is unrestricted and may be used for a variety of campus needs. Other giving opportunities include scholarships, athletics, and the Wellness and Fitness Center. Our campus goal is to have 100% participation. We need you to meet and exceed these goals!

How do I decide what to give?

Your gift is a personal decision, and a personally significant gift is very valuable to Indiana University Kokomo. Your gift to this campaign can be spread out over one year, and we have a guide to assist you in your planning. If you are interested in a gift that spans longer than one year, please call the Office for Advancement (x485) for assistance, as gifts may be extended as long as five years.

Why is the campaign important?

Not only does a gift from faculty and staff provide financial support for our campus, but it also demonstrates to alumni, community members, and friends that we believe IU Kokomo is not only worthy of our support, but their support as well.

TAX BENEFITS

Your gift may provide you with specific tax savings. Indiana taxpayers receive a tax credit of 50% on gifts up to $200 if filing a single return and $400 on a joint return.

Engaged Campus - On the Move!

Take a look around… this is what is happening at Indiana University Kokomo. Our students are excited about being involved on campus. Faculty and staff are engaged in the overall continued success of IU Kokomo. Everyone is enriched because of these efforts.

It's time to consider how, as an "Engaged Campus – On the Move"; we can contribute to the future of IU Kokomo by giving to the Annual Campus Campaign.

This year's "Make Your Move" campaign will support any initiative you choose. A great way to impact new initiatives is to give to the IU Kokomo Fund, which are unrestricted funds that can be used as needs arise. Other funds include scholarships, school-specific gifts, sports programs, and the Wellness and Fitness Center. Last year, more than 75% of the campus participated – let's top that!

During the past year, we have witnessed amazing achievements and tremendous growth, but it will take your help to continue on this successful path. Our three themes – Academic Excellence and Student Success, Building Relationships and Making Friends, and Transforming the Region – guide us to becoming the best regional campus in the world. Consider the possibilities if a fully engaged campus supports what we strive to build!

An Employee Gift Form is in this packet for your use. Also, by clicking on the "Give Now" link on the campus campaign website, www.iuk.edu/campuscampaign2012, you will be directed to a page that explains the gift options, including check, credit card, payroll deduction, and setting up a pledge.

Your support of higher education is important to the State of Indiana as well. So much so – they pay you for it! State Form CC-40 allows you to report the amount you gave and you will receive up to half of that amount (up to $100 for someone filing singly, and $200 if you are filing jointly) in credit to reduce taxes you owe. And don’t forget the federal deduction, if you itemize. It is all money back in your pocket.

Your contribution this year in any amount, from $1 a month to a $1,000 gift, will make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. The goal? 100% Participation! Help us reach that goal! Thank you for all you do to make IU Kokomo the best regional campus in the world.
